AREA OF SPECIALISATION
I work with quite a broad range of materials and mediums, depending on the circumstances and relating to the context of the work and its surroundings. Having said this most of my work is at least started with the aid of traditional drawing materials, essentially I am a draughtsman.
EDUCATION

2005 - 06 Foundation Art and Design, Poole College
WORK EXPERIENCE INVIGILATING
June 2007 - 'New Forest Pavilion', 52nd International Art Exhibition, Venice
(One week invigilating) A truly wonderful experience and a great insight, this 7 day week was spent invigilating at the New Forest Pavilion, a collaborative venture organised jointly by Art Sway in the New Forest and The Arts Institute at Bournemouth University. The immediate artists included Stanza, Beate Gutschow, Simon Faithfull, Igloo, Melanie Manchot and Anne Hardy. Duties included initiating the projectors and the mini macs running the appropriate software and making sure that everything continued to function as it should throughout the day, before turning everything off at night.
May 2007 - 'Underground' (One day invigilating)
This exhibition included the artists Roger Ackling, Eric Butcher and Simon Granell. Duties included opening and securely closing the gallery space, and general security during the day.
INSTALLATIONS & DE-INSATALLATIONS
February 2008 - "Art Sway Open (One day de- installation)
Spent the day with two others de-installing, packaging and ordering the accepted works of this years open exhibition. September
2007 - 'Meeting Place', Text+Work Gallery, The Arts Institute Bournemouth (One day installation)
Installing this work was a pleasure, it was great to see artists working through decision-making processes in a real Gallery situation, The different artists involved in this exhibition are to big to list here, but the full list and other information is available from www.textandwork.org.uk
June 2007 - 'New Forest Pavilion', 52nd International Art Exhibition, Venice (Two day de-installation)
After a week of invigilating a team of five people including myself worked late into the first night and most of the following day dismantling the exhibition, allot of the works functionality was reliant on a list of components, computers, amplifiers, speakers, digital projectors, large fabric screens and plasma screens, all of which was packed away safely and shipped out of Venice, our team worked well together and all of the equipment arrived safely back in the U.K.
OTHER WORK PLACEMENTS
January 2008 - Interviewing prospect students at the Arts Institute Bournemouth (one Day)
Another rewarding experience, working with Simone Granell a tutor at the A.I.B University, my roll for the day was to help him with twelve students in a group interview situation, with a view to them participating in the BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree at the University next year.
August 2007 - A day with Alex Frost
Working with Alex in his studio was a really exciting event, the day involved placing small pieces of broken tile onto a large mosaic, this mosaic was part of a larger body of work that Alex was making for his solo exhibition 'BBQ' that is being shown at Art Sway between 23rd February and the 6th of April 2008.
ACKNOWLAGEMENTS

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS
With seven years experience as a self-employed air conditioning installer, I have quite an extensive knowledge of hand and power tools and their uses. I am well disciplined and highly motivated, I am capable of working safely and independently. I have had some great experiences working with other people as a team player I have made some good friends in these kinds of situations. After writing my Dissertation recently, as well as numerous essays in the past, I have the ability to research effectively. I am fairly competent when it comes to technology, I am able to use Photoshop CS3, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and I can navigate around both the Mac and PC platforms. Also I am also able to wire projectors and plasma like screens to amplifiers, speakers and alike. Having worked with artists on a one to one basis I have benefited from listening to them, allowing me to learn from their experiences. I am smart in appearance and articulate by nature, I like people and find myself comfortable in most situations.
